I journal...most days. I'm always on the lookout for gorgeous journals ~ for me, part of the pleasure of writing is the experience of the perfect journal - the color, paper, binding, cover... Awaken Journaling on Etsy, captured my heart with this quote, beautifully written in their shop banner and with their vibrantly colored, handmade journals made with beautiful recycled leather (can't you just feel the soft texture?) and lovely papers. I can feel that special pen in my hand, the texture of the paper, the blank space ready for thoughts, dreams, inspirations...where would you find a more perfect and personal gift?

Evelda's Neverland...I was browsing Shop Local a few months ago and was drawn into this shop by the name and stayed because of the gorgeous creations. I was captivated by her originality and her talent for photography as well! Evelda's passion for color and fibres is evident in her imaginative designs, many of which are nature inspired. Cowls, scarves, neckwarmers, fibre jewelry, applique, bags and baby items ~ delicate or chunky and textured, each piece is truly a work of art! Evelda herself is friendly and gracious.

Wandering through Cat Ludwig's photo studio on Etsy feels like a stroll through the streets and gardens of her hometown...warm and friendly and full of beautiful architecture, flowers and and distinctive visual delights! She captures light and pattern in a uniquely creative way, helping her audience believe they are with her, seeing what her intuitive eye also sees.

Cat describes her search for her subjects as a treasure hunt...and treasures she has found!

Cat is not only a talented photographer, as a person she is encouraging and generous...I am inspired by her and happy to name her among my etsy friends!

Wednesday Wonders ~ Bubbletime

Whimsical...colorful...winsome pincushions created by Jenny of Bubbletime are hand embroidered and made from cheery fabrics. They are perfectly modern and yet take my imagination to my grandmother's sewing table where this one might rest, filled with pins and needles with bits of knotted threads!

When I began making treasuries on esty several months ago, I came upon her lovely shop and was captivated by these small wonders! I have enjoyed many visits to Jenny's shop, browsing for that I-know-its-here perfect item for a treasury or simply admiring her sweet plushies, fanciful figurines, pretty pouches, painted canvases and her fun sense of whimsy. Animals and nature are inspiration for her handmade collectibles.

Theresa calls herself 'a friend of mud' and when you

pay a call to her shop, Utile Mud, you

will see from her beautiful handmade stoneware

pottery that this is indeed an understatement!

Wednesday Wonders ~ La Pomme

...you are wandering along a narrow tree shaded street in a village in the south of France. Lined with character-filled buildings and shops, you spy among them a wee shopfront with a gently peeling painted white wooden door. Irresistably drawn to it, you open the door, peer inside...and what do your eyes behold? A wonderland of soft vintage lace and fabrics, nature-inspired embroidery, and delightful creations that simply ooze comfort, light, softness and balm for your inner child!

This was my experience entering LaPomme on etsy! Apol's comfy, softly colored home decor items (pillows, flowers, sleep angels, sachets) and her Fairytale Plushies for grown ups are perfectly wonderful ~ and, I love the stories that accompany each creation. Many of them will make you giggle!

Exloring La Pomme further, I discovered La Pomme Stories, Apol's second shop where her original stories are collaged into embroidered fabric books and cards...her stories are lovely and inspiring and are 'illustrated' in her unique style.

I have always been a collector of what my friends and I affectionately call 'r-ow' (pronounce like 'ow' if you pinched your finger and add an 'r'). Some of my happiest moments have occurred in a vintage or antique shop and I've happened upon that perfect piece, slightly loved and telling a story...Jess, from JessJamesJake, has created such a place filled with treasures that make my heart go pitter-pat! I especially love her collections of vintage housewares, luggage and kid's stuff (like these little blocks)...I remember many of these items from my own childhood ~ Yikes! Kerrin's ability to mix her new and recycled bits of ceramic and pottery into these intricate designs simply amazes me ~ like a 1000 piece original puzzle !

Whimsical...magical...playful...Mossies! I simply adore these little fairies and gnomes created by Liz of Two Left Hands! Flowers, fairytales, monsters, animals and other characters spring from her amazing imagination and sewing needle and inspire me to remember how important it is to just have fun.
