Have you met Angelique?

Angelique moved in last week. I'd been looking for a model for my jewelry, she applied and got the job. She's new to Canada, needed a place to live~ I decided she could stay right here. Frankly, I wasn't up for any driving when I needed her here, and she doesn't eat much.
What I didn't expect was how scared I am of her....I mean, she looks so 'knowing'...ALL the time. I come in the house after being out for awhile (groceries, post office, that kind of thing) and there she is at the kitchen table, looking at me. Really, the first time she startled me so, I dug into my purse for my phone to dial 911 to report an intruder~ I'm sure she smiled.
My husband is totally freaked out by her and has stated in no uncertain terms she should be kept in a closet...I'm thinking I may put her on his night table after he goes to sleep- hehehe.
She may need her own apartment after all.

  1. i have not met angelique. and now i'm scared to. i'm sure she'll look friendlier with some of your pretty earrings on, though ;)

  2. So I'm not the only one to name my model! That's a bit of a relief :) I was just about to do a post about mine - Madeline the Model Mannequin. Angelique has a lovely face, but poor Madeline has no head at all, which does creep me out a little.

  3. haha, pleased to meet your Angelique!
I never thought of giving my model a name,
but well, mine doesn't even have a head! how scary is that!

  4. Wonderful story Karon..and wonderful acquisition..i think she will look less scary wearing some of your beautiful creations..but I agree, she might need her own apartment!

  5. Well Karon ... as gorgeous as she is, I don't think I'd turn my back on Angelique. Hope you checked her references.

  6. well...i'm glad it's not just me! and references...why didn't I think of that!?!

  7. Her makeup is perfect. All the time. That would have me running to the mirror all the time to fix mine. He-heee!

  8. hello gorgeous, I would LOVE angelique, she's beautiful, have also been looking for a while.....where did you get her from and does she have a sister and a brother?

    Would love the link ;o)

    hello gorgeous xxx

  9. I'd put a towel over her head so she wouldn't stare at me.
My MIL has some creepy statues from the West Indies that stare with cowrie shell eyes.

  10. ha! a towel! of course! katie~ my husband had a mask from the west indies on the wall of his bedroom when he was a kid- cowrie shell eyes and all. He and his mother had an ongoing issue with this little fellow- he kept taking it down and putting it in a drawer and his mother would put it back up. I think Angelique has unearthed this childhood 'trauma' for him! :)
